About Me
Hi, I’m Olivia — a second-year Film Studies and Sociology student at Lancaster University with a passion for storytelling in all its forms. My journey into filmmaking began in lockdown, when I discovered the power of visual storytelling and the endless forms of visual and narrative styles and genres.
Since then, I have pursued filmmaking academically, taking film studies at both A-level and degree level. My strengths lie in my creativity, leadership, and organisational skills, meaning that I often gravitate towards directorial roles. Academically, I enjoy exploring the intersection between film and culture, and I use my sociological studies to delve deeper within my film analysis.
Outside of my academic and production work, I enjoy sewing, playing piano, and writing creatively — all of which feed into my broader creative perspective. I am also social secretary of the Lancaster University Women’s and Mixed Lacrosse Club, for whom I plan and run weekly social events and larger meals and awards evenings.
I'm now seeking opportunities in film production, advertising, and other creative industries where I can bring energy, originality, and a strong sense of direction to the team, and expand my industry experience.
